The Wealth Company Mutual Fund Expands Presence in Odisha with Bhubaneswar Branch
Plans to enable 1,000 MF Didis and MF Dosts across Odisha and strengthen the state’s financial distribution ecosystem
Bhubaneswar, 21stAugust 2026: The Wealth Company, part of Pantomath Group, has announced the expansion of its presence in Odisha with the opening of its Bhubaneswar branch at the Housing Board Square near Kharvela Nagar, strengthening its focus on investor awareness, financial inclusion and the development of a locally rooted financial distribution ecosystem. Industry veteran Mr. Lingaraj Mohanty will be incharge of driving Orissa business forward.
The expansion comes at a time when Odisha is actively emerging as one of India’s fastest growing state economies. According to the Odisha Economic Survey 2025 26, the state’s economy is estimated at approximately ₹9.88 lakh crore, with real GSDP growth of 7.9%. Per capita income has risen 9.2% to ₹1,86,761, reflecting improving economic prosperity.
This momentum is increasingly translating into greater participation in market linked investments. Odisha’s mutual fund Average Assets Under Management increased from ₹63,209 crore in March 2025 to ₹73,460 crore in March 2026, registering growth of over 16% in a year. The trend reflects rising investor participation while highlighting the significant opportunity to deepen financial awareness and access across the state.
The Wealth Company’s Bhubaneswar expansion will focus on strengthening access to financial guidance, supporting local distributors and creating a new generation of financial distribution entrepreneurs. Within its first year, the company aims to train, upskill and enable at least 1,000 MF Didis and MF Dosts across Odisha.
A special focus will be placed on educated women seeking flexible and productive avenues for professional engagement. Through financial education, technology enabled tools and business support, the initiative aims to equip women to become financial distribution entrepreneurs and contribute to wider financial inclusion.
Madhu Lunawat, Founder, The Wealth Company, said, “Odisha is at an important inflection point, with rising incomes, economic growth and increasing financial awareness creating a new generation of investors. Our objective is not merely to expand our distribution footprint, but to build financial capability at the grassroots. By enabling local entrepreneurs, particularly women, to become informed financial distributors, we can create a stronger and more sustainable ecosystem for wealth creation.”
As part of this commitment, Madhu Lunawat will address a Financial Literacy and Women’s Empowerment Camp, organized in collaboration with Mahila Atmanirbhar Abhiyan, on August 22, 2026, at KIIM’s Auditorium in Bhubaneswar. She will interact with more than 500 women from low-income communities, encouraging them to move beyond conventional saving towards disciplined financial planning and informed investing.
The session will cover saving and investment discipline, inflation awareness, and financial planning for children’s education, housing, healthcare and retirement, while emphasizing the importance of seeking appropriate financial guidance.
With its Bhubaneswar presence, The Wealth Company aims to deepen its engagement across Odisha, particularly in Tier II and Tier III markets, while building informed investors and enabling a stronger local financial distribution network.
